Welcome to Take the Stripe! My name is Vince Frontino and I am a Graphic Design student at Cal Poly Pomona. I have a huge passion for drag racing as I was introduced to it at a young age by my father Bob Frontino who is a racer and engine builder. I spend many weekends racing at local tracks or traveling the West Coast working for NHRA Division 7 Sportsman teams.

Some of my goals are to promote the sport of drag racing and car culture to the younger generation. With some of our tracks in danger of being shut down, I think it is necessary to get more involved and show a need to keep the tracks open. I believe racing and car culture in general provide a great outlet and safe environment for all to participate in. I decided to create Take the Stripe to give the local grass root racer (like myself) a single place to go to and keep up to date with schedules, photos, videos, and news for all events on the West Coast. Grass root racers are the backbone of drag racing and deserve to be recognized.
